Questions on religions comparison
1. Q. According to surah Az-Zukhruf, it says here that Jesus shall be in this time as sign for the last hour. So, if Prophet Muhammad is said to be last messenger then which one is the last prophet and reasons?
A. It is clearly mention in surah Al-Ahzab verse 40,
“Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing.”
Here, it is clearly said that Muhammad will be last messenger appoint by Allah in this world. However, what has been said in the question is also true and it’s not only mention in the Quran but also mention in Bible in Gospel of John 14:1-4,
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”
Quran tells us about Jesus Pbuh answering God’s question on the day of judgment regarding him claiming divinity in Surah Al-Ma’idah verse 116,
“And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah ?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.”
The reason is because Jesus is the only messenger who’s follower has mistook him to be God and that’s the reason Allah will raise him again and in his second coming. He will not come to bring new rules but he will come as a sign and to clarify his status as a messenger and not a God.
2. Q. Has Jesus ever claim divinity and if he is a messenger then what are proves of it in Bible?
A. Before going on about the question, you have to realize that Islam is the only religion of faith that makes one the pillar is to believe in Prophet Jesus as the messenger of God. We believe he is one of the mightiest messengers of Allah, we believe he was born miraculously without male interventions which most of Christians today did not believe.
However, in Christianity they believe that Jesus has claim divinity but in fact there is not a single verse in the Bible where Jesus himself said that he is god or where he said worship me.
In fact Jesus said in the Gospel of John ch. 14 verse 28,
“You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.”
It clearly see there where it says “... for the Father is greater than I”.
In Gospel of John ch. 10 verse 29,
“My Father, who has given them to me,[a] is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.”
Here we see it say my father is greater than all. If Jesus is a God then how come he himself says that there is another existence which is more powerful than him?
Next, we take a look at Gospel of John ch. 5 verse 30,
“I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.”
Anyone who says that I seek not my own will but the will of might God is a muslim because the title of a muslim is given to those who submit to the will of almighty God.
In fact if you read in Gospel of John ch.17 verse 3,
“And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
Any human that has been sent as someone that represents almighty God to teach the true way of life is a prophet and messenger.
Furthermore if you read in Book of Acts ch.2 verse 22,
“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know—“
Here it says “...God did through him...” makes it really clear that every miracle that happen was not done by Jesus himself but rather it is the power of God that God did through him. He himself has no power to do so since he is a human being.
The teaching of Jesus as God is the teaching of church and not by Bible. To understand your religion you need to read the source.
3. Q. Can we relate what is said in Surah Al-Nisa’ ch.4 verse 56 as the sign of reincarnation or it’s just something that happens in a form of spiritual?
A. Both are different. What is said in the surah is for justice. For example, if we talk about Hitler that have killed more than 6 million people, here in Hell he can be burn up to 6 million times.
When we talk about reincarnation it is a life that will reoccur here in this world. The theory of reincarnation is made since the scholars(Pandits) cannot explain why some people are born handicap and some are not. This is the words of a scholar.
4. Q. How Islam define love?
A. Love is care and craving between another and it can be with anyone. Love is affection. Allah has put love between a husband and a wife according to Quran.
5. Q. I believe in God, does religion helps us get enlighten?
A. Yes, it matter because it’s very important to know the correct God and the correct way to worship Him.
6. Q. Since Bible comes first, shouldn’t we follow it instead of Quran?
A. it’s not important which one come first but we follow what is the truth. The latest one does not mean it is the truth. That is why from the study we come to know that even the bible is not 100 percents the word of God. That is why we have to study which one is the truth and from that we will come to know that Islam is the one which contain the whole truth.
Besides, according to Islam, Bible(Injil) was only sent to the particular group for that particular time and that is why it has been corrupted. Quran is the only scriptures that still stay the same without corruption because Allah has made a promise to guard it from corruption. If we study Bible we will come to know that Jesus has prophesize about the upcoming messenger which point to no one but Prophet Muhammad since that person will glorify Jesus.
The only religion after Christian today that makes it an obligatory to believe in Jesus is no one except Islam.
7. Q. Why Yoga is banned in Islam?
A. Because in Yoga it involves the calling of another deity such as ‘om’ and calling another deity other than Allah is a form of Shirk. The exercise itself may do not involve anything Haram but that act of calling another deity is wrong.
